Embarking on the journey of building a fitness business while balancing work, studying for certification, and developing real connections has me feeling overwhelmed at times.
Being overwhelmed by a lot of good things going on is a good problem to have, but when its accompanied by an equal amount of bad things... it becomes a lot. I want to let everyone know that I will keep doing better everyday.

How Am I Managing it All?
Honestly? With a positive, but realistic attitude.
My classes are either empty or low in participants, but I'm developing personal connections and learning what they need from me.
I have a schedule full of family/school events, but my kids are excelling in one way or another and are being recognized for those things.
I have a lot of studying left to do, but I get to learn more about something I love and choose.
I have another part time job that takes time from my days, but it's supporting pregnant/breastfeeding mothers and even though somedays can be busy it's also something I love
I have a garden that is getting ripped up and reconstructed my me, but I get to grow my food forest again and provide for my family! Who doesn't loves cheaper vegetables and fruit?
There is so much more going on in the day to day that makes managing a business a little harder and a lot of it will never get shared.
Don't You Just Help People Work Out?
I wish it was that simple. I could just show up, work out with local members, and leave. The reality is much more complicated. I meet people at where they are in there own unique fitness journey. If they are in personal training with me then we are working together on a much deeper level and may involve collaboration with doctors.
I work hours at home outside of classes. creating workouts, advertising, listening to peoples suggestions/wants, and being understanding when a person isn't ready to improve their life with my help. I attend the farmers markets/online webinars, manage my website/Facebook/call/texts, create adds/classes/posters/calendars/content/printable material/business card and more. There are also things like spending tracking and quarterly tax reporting. Not to mention product design for future plans and then also needing to coordinating gym availability.
I'm not a big company. It's all me and the lovely Teresa from the Virgil Community Center front desk. We are all really hoping to make this a thriving part of the community one step at a time and I hope you all will be understanding as I find my way.
